To do good to our body and vocal chords
Liévine Hubert’s work involves a cross disciplinary practice of singing and movement. From this well of experience she offers hybrid workshops to others, involving various somatic and vocal practices.
Physical training is a must. For her exercises, Liévine draws from the world of dance, martial arts, yoga, meditation and writing. As long as it’s good for our carcasses. As long as we come out of it more expansive and radiant.
The workshops and courses include rituals such as: cleaning the joints / exploring the phonatory system / sharpening the ear / singing Moondog / a Portuguese working song / an Irish call & response / group vibration / massaging / strengthening the legs and relaxing shoulders / making noise and silence / increasing concentration / shaking the booty / dancing blindfolded / debriefing.
The workshops and courses take place in Brussels but also in Neufchateau, Libramont, Tours, Nantes and elsewhere. They are given in French and/or English.
Who is it for
These workshops are for everyone. Dancers, musicians, poets, but also – and above all – those who only sing in the shower, who for too long have stopped moving their bodies, who dream of making their vocal cords vibrate collectively, who would like to reconcile themselves with their joints and muscles, who are tempted to take a break.
Who guides
Liévine Hubert teaches alone, or in pairs with interesting collaborators, such as Inês Campos – dancer and singer from Porto, Daphné Achermann – dancer and medicinal plant breeder, Mouna Yantour – singer and geography teacher, Davy Palumbo – drummer and signed rhythm specialist (…).
Formulas
Several formulas are possible: an impromptu team building day, two long evenings per month with soup at the end, an intensive week in a shared bath, one hour from time to time for individual follow-up. Let’s connect and create something that works for you.
